Known as a birthstone to celebrate February babies, Amethyst has enjoyed popularity throughout its ancient history. It is a stone traditionally worn to guard against drunkenness and to instil a sober and serious mind. Amethyst also represents wisdom, peace, and other rich spiritual meanings in many cultures.
